SOCIAL APARTMENT HOUSING, ZUG, SWITZERLAND, DESIGN COMPETITION
In the historic centre of the historic city of Switzerland, the local government announced a design contest for a social apartment house in place of a burnt-out “fachwerk”house. The flats are intended for university graduates and young entrant people, who live for only a few years here.
The sharp edges of the plot’s contour, the subtle variations of the masses of adjacent buildings, and the adaptation to the highly conservative context we tried to design with maximum empathy. We tried to compile with traditional architectural tools so that it can be recognizably dated.
